FAQs
I would like a frame that is a different size than you offer. Can I request a unique size?
Absolutely! Assuming the frame is shippable we can provide a quote based on the dimensions and wood species. Of course, it would be dependent on you to provide the exact measurements to ensure your painting or photo will fit. Just reach out with what you have in mind and we will provide you with options and a quote.
I would like a float frame to add a canvas painting, but I have no idea how to hang it on my wall. Will there be instructions?
You bet! All of our frames include hanging wire, which makes hanging it on the wall incredibly simple. Just let me know whether your art will be landscape or portrait orientation.
Do you sell to businesses or other Etsy shops?
Yes! You may be an artist that wants to provide your customers a quality frame to match your artwork or prints, or a specialty shop that wants unique frames for your customers. You may be a realtor that would like to provide personalized gifts to your clients at closing, or a restaurant looking for unique serving boards, coasters, or check presentation holder for your customers with your branding. Since each item is uniquely handmade, we do not operate like a large manufacturing facility. However, that is exactly why our products stand apart from what is found in most chain stores. We would love to explore how we can support you and whether we have the capacity to meet your needs without compromising our quality and attention to detail.
Can I select finishing options?
Absolutely! Most of the hardwoods we use benefit from allowing the natural grain, color, and figure to be enhanced by clear finishes. We use Rubio Monocoat Pure Finish on most of our products since it is a hard wax finish and is completely food safe. everything that does not require a food safe finish. If you would like an item stained or painted, please reach out and I can provide some direction based on your needs.
Can you personalize an item through laser engraving?
Yes! Our laser engraver can be used to personalize our serving boards or any other product we produce. This is a great way to add a special touch for weddings, anniversaries, teacher gifts, special events, or for businesses wanting to take their customer service to the next level. We currently engrave coasters, charcuterie and cutting boards, valet and serving trays, and wood signs.
Can you laser engrave my favorite professional sports logo or animated character?
Unfortunately, no. Not only is this against Etsy policies and a violation of trademark and copyright laws, but more importantly it runs counter to our personal integrity and business ethics. We can only engrave images, designs, logos, and quotes that are free of trademark and copyrights, unless you own the rights. If you are unsure, or have questions, feel free to run it past us and we will verify whether it is allowed. We would never intentionally attempt to sell something that is not ours to sell, and we will make every effort to ensure our engravings are allowed.
How do I add laser engraving to one of your products?
Items where personalization is an option will provide options for you to select. This includes font styles and sizes, your exact messaging, and any available graphics. If you have an image you own that you want engraved onto one of our products, you will have the option to provide us the file and we will convert it to be used through our software. Not all images work well for laser engraving on all products. We will evaluate whether your image can be engraved and to ensure it is aesthetically pleasing. Prior to engraving, a proof will be sent to you for approval.
Do you accept exchanges?
In the event that I did not measure twice and cut once, and your frame is different from the measurements you provided, I will either rebuild the frame or do an exchange. In those cases, I will handle any shipping costs associated with returning it. However, if you provided if the measurement you provided is wrong, then I am unable to provide an exchange or return. For anything other than a mistake by me, I am unable to offer returns or exchanges. Each frame is completely custom-made to your wood selection and sizing and not returnable.
Are you able to reduce how thick the wood is on a frame?
Absolutely! I mill all of my lumber down from wood that rough sawn. As a result, I have the ability to make it thinner or shallower. The listing description provides the standard sizes, and all frames will be built to those specifications unless you message me with a request for something different. The standard thickness of the wood I use is roughly 1", but it can be slightly thinner or thicker. This is due to the need to plane the wood to a depth that removes imperfections. My frames are thicker and far more robust than most floater frames. This is partially a stylistic choice and a way to create a structurally sound frame. I have made frames much thinner for customers.
