Our handcrafted products begin with an idea and inspiration turned into a design. This leads to selecting quality kiln-dried hardwood purchased from local family-owned lumber suppliers that only source lumber from responsible mills that practice sustainability. Our hardwood lumber begins as rough-sawn boards that, to the untrained eye, may appear more suitable for the firepit than as a centerpiece in your home. However, like many things in the world, as the rough exterior of the wood is planed away, the hidden beauty of the grain and figure is revealed for the first time. All wood tells a story through each growth ring, imperfection, and even damage caused by insects during the course of its life. We aim to embrace that story and handcraft it into a custom product beyond utility and function. We want to create a timeless work of art that provides the perfect statement in your home. Our designs incorporate details and construction methods that were once the standard in furniture making and woodcraft, long before factories began using inferior materials, subpar construction methods, and automation. We use solid hardwoods, robust joinery methods, and finishes that are durable, safe, and enhance the grain. Our furniture and wood crafts are built to become a family heirloom passed down to the next generation. While the dimensions may be the same, since the wood is natural and unique to the tree it was cut from, there will never be an exact duplicate. The use of quality materials, craftsmanship, and timeless designs does lead to higher upfront costs than what you would pay at many large retail chains. However, unlike most of what is sold at retail chains, when you purchase from us, you only need to buy it once.
